INTRODUCTION to the Series
— Believers Can't Afford Not to Dig for Scriptural Truth —
But what church is teaching them that and HOW to do it?
Proverbs 25:2 "[It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search
out a matter."
God has chosen not to give us all truth on a silver platter. He expects us to search
for it. Jesus said "Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear." It is up to the individual
to take the word of God and diligently seek Him.
1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer
to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and
fear:"
The only proof of faith is the Bible. And the more you study the Bible the more you
will be tested by Satan. And with testing comes testimony. Jesus also said, “And ye
now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and
your joy no man taketh from you.” —John 16:22
Hebrews 11:1-6 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Never forget that God is the author of the Bible and without faith it is impossible toJoshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate
therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written
therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have
good success."
Matthew 4:3,4 "And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command
that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall
not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
We are commanded not only to read the Bible, but to study it.
Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;
and that believing ye might have life through his name."
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me."
Acts 4:12 "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven
given among men, whereby we must be saved."
John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son
shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
1 Timothy 2:5 "For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus;"
1 John 5:11,12 "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his
Son. He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not
life."
The Bible exposes God’s will. Jesus is the only way to heaven.
Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast
created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Have you been pleasing to Him lately? If you want your name written in the book of
life give him the glory and honor for all things. And, to gain His approval, STUDY.
Jeremiah 23:33,34 "And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What [is]
the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even
forsake you, saith the LORD. And [as for] the prophet, and the priest, and the people,
that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house."
James 1:13,14 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be
tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:"
Always remember that ALL temptation comes from Satan; not God. Satan has read
the Bible and it is he who does the tempting.
1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is]
faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]."
